BASICS
First of all, you need to know the basics of the game. This is a basketball mobile game. If you play basketball in real life, it will be easier for you to understand how things work. By basics I mean the controls, the rules, the game modes, player positions, skills, fashion, training camp, basically how every icon on the game works. You have to learn all of them first.
PRACTICE
Of course, you need to be familiar with the controls and how to use skills in order to be able to play effectively. Tap the “SKILL” tab and click on the skill you want to learn, you will see a demo and a practice button there. Use whichever you like. I basically use this feature very much until I learn how to use a skill properly and perform it quickly.
PVP
PVP or Player Versus Player is your playground. You can play 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 in this game mode. This is where I spend most of my time when I don’t have a decent team. Not only you gain experience in playing the game, you also acquire useful items. Use this mode to learn how to use skills while battling with players in real-time, it will hone your gaming capabilities. Play with your friends! You can choose custom mode where you can invite your friends to play.
ROLE
You have to know your role in a team. You when you play Center, your first responsibility is to get rebounds right? What about if the team consists of PF/C/SG? Sometimes you have to be flexible and know different game plays. Experiences here come in handy.
ATTRIBUTE
Know the meaning of the different stats in game. Placing your attributes right will cost you less money(diamonds) and will boost your hero significantly. Know what you need most before choosing your fashion attribute.
CAMP
This is the game changer. Train your hero’s stat depending on your play style. Not because it’s says recommended means you have to use your training balls on it. Be your own player. I play defensively so I used my training balls on defense stats that help me to become better at it.
TEAM
In order to win Ladder games, you have to have a good team. You can’t rely on a single team. Not everyone has the luxury of time to play whole day. Make friends with others, form teams, so that when your other team mates are not available to play, you still have other friends to play with.
COMMUNICATION
Talk to your team mates, inside and outside the game. Make strategies, plan, and practice in PVP before entering Ladder. With the technology today, it’s even easier to communicate with them. Hell I even talk to my Indonesian brothers just to make a good team(I’m from the Philippines).
EXPERIENCE
And lastly, experience. We have a saying that “Experience is the best teacher”. When you play a game too long you just become good at it. I myself have been playing Freestyle Street Basketball since it was released way back 2006. They are similar in some ways but it was totally a different game. I heard Basketball Hero was based on Freestyle 2, which I never played. It took some time to adjust and finally I am here. To my fellow players, just play and play. I hope the short guide helped. Caution for new player
Due to this game is a basketball game that plays as a team. Thus, do not play alone holding the ball because it can cause a fight. And please use polite words in the conversation.

- Center (C) care area under the backboard.

Ability to dunk, rebound and lay up
